Judy Massey is the author of Boomerangst: Coping with the Angst of Aging with Wit, Wisdom and Humor. A baby boomer herself, she is a freelance writer, marketing consultant and former marketing executive at a number of consumer publications who began to speak on behalf of her generation in 1996, when the first boomers turned 50.
Massey is also President of The Boomerang Group, marketing
communication services with an emphasis on baby boomers. She has participated as a panelist and speaker at a number of media
marketing conferences, and served as a judge for the Effie Awards
and The New York Festivals AME International Awards for marketing
effectiveness in multinational campaigns. She was a guest lecturer
on CompuServe’s PR&MKTG Forum and conducted a week-long
seminar on marketing to the baby boomer audience.
In 1997, she was the publisher of Boomerang, a newsletter for,
by and about baby boomers. She was an editorial reviewer for the health
and fitness sections of Living Well: A Guide to Healthy Aging video
series for PBS. Her articles and advertorials have appeared in Family Circle, Self, Working Woman, Glamour, USA Today, Saveur and Walking.
Massey resides in Long Beach, NY, where she attempts to keep her boomer angst in check with long walks on the beach... and the occasional martini.
